Jen always said that when the day came, she would like to be laid to rest on top of a mountain overlooking a valley... It came too soon.
To pay tribute to the mother of my children, who sadly took her own life in April this year, my good friend Adam and I will be completing 78.5km in Snowdonia, with 25kg Backpacks, covering all six routes in 3 days from the 14th to 17th of June 2021. Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level.
A memorial to Jennifer Foxwell will be built on one of the summits, which family and friends can visit any time they wish.
Her birthday is the 13th of December 1980, so I will be hoping to complete the summit every year on this date if anyone would like to join and climb through the snow in memory of Jen.
I know Jen would have wanted this so a flag will be raised for our daughters Ellie and Rosie.
Please donate to Rock2Recovery, who have helped me and my family hugely during this difficult time. Rock2Recovery helps veterans with PTSD, trauma, addiction, depression and helping to gain self-worth.
For all the good work the NHS do, I couldn't wait 6-9 months for the help they offered. However, Rock2Recovery helped guide me instantly with empathy and understanding of my current situation.
Thank you Rock2Recovery, and thank you Paul Sampson.
'This is for you sweetheart.'
I know Jen would love to know that people were doing something, whether hiking or donating
, rather than sending messages of condolences.
The girls and I miss you x
“It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to do work that I do and get to know the people I meet.
When a person has made that decision to want to make a change, accept that they will do the heavy lifting and commit to relearning all they previously knew about the human condition, my job in helping guide people back to their 'true selves' is a joy.
I have every faith in each and every one of my clients and Mark is no different. He has made some tough decisions, but none more important than to take the first steps in asking for help. His dedication to his progress parallels his dedication in raising awareness for Rock2Recovery, and is truly meritorious.
Thank you Mark for everything you are doing. “
