The dreaded vaper's tongue..
We've all been there, we all hate it. So what causes it?
You could be experiencing vaper's tongue for many reasons, but the main culprits being; vaping the same
flavour for too long, dehydration, dry mouth and maybe even a blocked nose.
There are many myths and 'cures' such as - vaping a strong menthol
flavour or even inhaling the smell of fresh coffee beans, if you are fortunate enough to have a hoard of FRESH coffee beans lying around then I guess you're all good?
I too have experienced vaper's tongue, my favourite
Jungle Juice Blue Lagoon had become tasteless. So I popped to my local
vape shop and picked up some sweets that were specifically made to 'cure' vaper's tongue. They are called Head Candy. Possibly down to my own stupidity or the fact it was the only option the shop had in at the time... I went for the original
flavour (I'm unsure if they have a selection of
flavours). I opened one of the tiny packets which revealed the CURE I had been looking for. So I went ahead, popped the sweet in my mouth. It was a fizzy feeling, followed by the taste of clove oil. My dad used to rub clove oil on my gums if I ever had a toothache when I was a child and ever since then I've detested the taste. Any how, I thought I'd persevere, finally reached the end of the sweet, the fizzing had stopped and I was ready for that all important
vape. To my surprise, the sweet had done an amazing job. My
Blue Lagoon was back to slap my taste buds once again and I couldn't be happier. So that was the cure for me, although I was very skeptical to begin with.
